Ingredients

Scale
  • For the Apple Filling:
    • 4 medium apples, peeled, cored, and diced
    • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
    • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
    • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • For the Cheesecake Layer:
    • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
    • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
    • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
    • 1 cup heavy whipping cream
  • For the Crisp Topping:
    • 1 cup rolled oats
    • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
    • 1/2 cup brown sugar
    • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
    • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, combine diced apples, granulated sugar, cinnamon, and lemon juice. Mix well and set aside.
  3. In a separate bowl, mix rolled oats, flour, brown sugar, melted butter, and salt until crumbly. Spread evenly on a baking sheet.
  4. Bake the crisp topping for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown, stirring halfway through. Let it cool.
  5. In a mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  6. In another bowl, whip the heavy cream until stiff peaks form, then gently fold it into the cream cheese mixture.
  7. In a trifle dish, layer half of the apple filling, followed by half of the cheesecake mixture, and then half of the crisp topping. Repeat the layers.
  8. Chill the trifle in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours before serving.
