Ingredients

Scale
  • For the Donut Holes:
    • 1 cup all-purpose flour
    • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
    • 1 tsp baking powder
    • 1/2 tsp baking soda
    • 1/4 tsp salt
    • 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
    • 1/4 tsp ground nutmeg
    • 1/2 cup buttermilk
    • 1 large egg
    • 2 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
  • For the Coating:
    • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
    • 1 tsp ground cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Preheat the air fryer to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
  3. In another bowl, combine the buttermilk, egg, and melted butter, then mix into the dry ingredients until just combined.
  4. Using a small cookie scoop, drop spoonfuls of the batter into the air fryer basket, leaving space between each.
  5. Air fry for 8-10 minutes, or until golden brown and a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  6. While the donut holes are cooking, mix the sugar and cinnamon for the coating in a bowl.
  7. Once cooked, immediately toss the warm donut holes in the cinnamon-sugar mixture until well coated.
